3NL - Have you ever wondered what's underneath our skin?

Have you ever wondered what's underneath our skin?

That was the question Mrs Lacey asked 3NL.

So the class decided to investigate...

At the beginning of the week we looked at our bones and we decided to make our own real-life skeletons.

Then today, we decided to add some organs.
Meet our final versions Mr Bones 1-6!

3NL - keeping healthy

In science, 3NL have been looking at all the different types of food groups.

We then sorted some of our favourite types of food into their correct food group.

We then investigated how much of each food group we should eat to stay healthy.

Finally, we designed our own healthy dinner ensuring we had the recommended amounts of each food group.

3NL - 3D Shapes

Last week 3NL looked at the properties of 3D shapes.

We used construction materials to build our own 3D shapes - can you guess which shape we are building?

4JI Circuits

As part of our electricity learning, the children experimented with circuits yesterday. Their aim was to use crocodile clips, a bulb and a battery in order to light the bulb. The children loved the hands on experience and were very proud of themselves when their bulb lit up!

Year 4 Class Invasions!

As part of our new topic learning on the "Romans", 4JI decided to show 4TS what an invasion looks like! We took over their classroom by sitting on their desks, moving them out of the chairs and causing quite a racket!

The next day however, 4TS got their revenge, and it was worse than 4JI could have expected! They stole our books, took our coats and bags off their pegs and caused quite a scene!

The children absolutely loved the rivalry and the first hand experience of an invasion!

Do you remember our old school building? Why not watch our end of an era mannequin challenge video to remember!

3NL - Book Swap

Last Friday, Year 3 created a Book-Swap library. The children had great fun in bringing in their books to swap with their friends.

All of the children were given a book review to complete,
ready to pass onto to the next classmate who chooses to read the book.

The class would like to say a BIG thank-you to Mr Bray who helped set up the library and the generous
parents who donated books.
